BollaColforte Merlot IGT delle Venezie 1997 |
Colforte is made of the finest Merlot grapes whose vines thrive in clay soil. The
special structure of this red wine derives from prolonged maceration at a controlled
temperature. After fermentation, the wine ages for four months in French oak
barrels: during this period, Colforte's typical ruby red color with hints of purple
stabilizes. It ages in bottles for several months to complete maturation. The result is
a pure Merlot with a complex structure. Its has an intense, well-balanced bouquet
and a soft, full-bodied flavuor with a lingering aromatic finish. Area of origin: Le Venezie, Grape variety: Merlot. Soil type: Well suited clay soils.
